HAWKERS St. Pete is located on Central Avenue in the award-winning downtown historic EDGE district. The bustling street is an active experience destination wrapped in public art, rooted in community and preservation, and filled with food, fun, and culture.

Inspired by our travels to Asia and memories of growing up, we all craved the unapologetic flavors of true Asian food—dumplings with bounce, spicy curries, crisp pork belly, and the list goes on. When in Asia, we knew the best dishes were on the streets from hawker stalls. At home, we turned to parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to get a fix from generations-old comfort food recipes. We sought out restaurants in hopes of finding a gem, only to be disappointed 9 times out of 10.

After months of planning, we opened the doors to the first Hawkers Asian Street Fare on March 15, 2011, in the Mills 50 neighborhood of Orlando. A week later we had a line around the block. Since then, we’ve taken the Hawkers’ brand coast to coast (of Florida, that is). And with regional expansion plans to South Florida, Atlanta, and beyond, the best is yet to come.
